Church Family, Thank you for the food, calls, visits, and for all the prayers during my surgery and recovery.

We would like to thank everyone that planned and came in support of our baby shower.  We are so thankful for your kind words and excitement for the arrival of our precious bundle of joy.  We are so lucky to have such a wonderful and loving church family.  Thank you again and God bless!

Amanda and Josh Franklin

I’d like to thank the preacher for letting us use the church and for the visit and prayers.  I’d like to thank everyone that visited and prayed with us and my mom.  I’d like to thank all that came and supported us at her funeral service, and that prepared a nice meal for my fanily and I afterwards.  All of you have been so wonderful during our dark  moment.  We still have a hard road ahead of us, so please continue to keep my family and I in prayer for strength.  Thank you all again so much for you’ve done.

We hope you have noticed the new signs around our buildings, which are part of our Hospitality – Inward, Outward & Upward campaign to become a more welcoming congregation.  As part of this effort, our Church Council decided to rename the Education Building to Christian Life Center.  We think this new name sounds more inviting and better represents a more holistic approach to spiritual growth, i.e., that growth toward spiritual maturity is broader than education. Thanks to our Sign Team, Hospitality Team, and Trustees, and especially Jack Hurlbert for their work on this project!  And thanks to all who have contributed financially to our campaign.  Our next phase of the Hospitality campaign is to place new flooring in the Wesley Center and part of the Christian Life Center near the office.  Please consider your contributions to helping us improve our facilities to become a more welcoming congregation.  You can make a check payable to the church and mark “Hospitality Campaign” in the memo line.

The Johnson City District Day of Discipleship Training will be held this afternoon from 2:30-4:00 PM at Wesley Memorial UMC, 225 Princeton Road, Johnson City, TN.  Childcare will be provided for infants through age four by reservation only.  In the event of inclement weather, this event will be postponed until Sunday, February 23.
