Thank you, Mothers, for all that you do!!!

Thank you for your ideas and votes about the naming of our new mobile soup feeding ministry. You have determined to name the new ministry: Cups of Love. Most of our volunteer opportunities with this ministry will take just a few hours a week on Saturday. Perhaps you could give that time at least once per month or more. If you would like to volunteer, please talk with Nancy Forrester, our volunteer coordinator, about how you would like to be involved.

Confirmation Mentors are Christian adults who encourage and support young people going through the Confirmation process. Perhaps a note of encouragement from time to time, a phone call, an ice cream outing, etc. If you are interested in being a Confirmation Mentor, please note your interest on the blue Connection Card or talk with Pastor Dan.

Vacation Bible School is fast approaching and committees need to be put into place very soon for planning purposes.  If you would like to volunteer to serve with this ministry, please contact Wendy Finney at  (423) 612-1076 or via email at  Please pray for this ministry.

The United Methodist Women will be going to “One Acre Café” in Johnson City for lunch on Tuesday, May 12.  If you wish to go, please meet in the church parking lot at 11:00 AM.  Anyone who is not a member of the Circle is welcome to go with us.  Please let Wilma Boy, Jin Lane or Joan Williams know so we will know how many will be going.

Per communication from Nancy McGlamery and Herman Carrier, Cluster has been discontinued.  The money that was left will be divided between IHN ($633.52), Coalition for Kids ($633.52) and Holston Home for Children ($633.52).
