At our last Annual Conference, our delegates pledged that we would encourage each church member to give 10 hours of service this year to children in poverty in our community. We hope that you are working toward that goal, and will encourage that in your Sunday School, Life Group, UMM, UMW, Circle of Faith, youth ministries, children’s ministries, etc.
Thank you so much for your wonderful words and deeds to express Pastor Appreciation. The luncheon was a great (and delicious!) way to celebrate our shared journey. Your words have been so kind and affirming. Your gifts have been incredibly generous. I am honored to serve with you. Thank you! Pastor Dan

The training is by the Cokesbury Church people concerning how they show hospitality to guests from the time someone arrives in their parking lot to the end of the worship service. At Cokesbury Church-Johnson City, which is in the building of the former Cherokee UMC.
- Sun., Nov. 15, 3:00 pm — Will Shewey from Shades of Grace in Kingsport will lead us in radical hospitality from a congregation that serves a primarily homeless population. At Wesley Memorial UMC in Johnson City.
