Christ the King Sunday , today, is the last Sunday of the Christian year and is a celebration of the coming reign of Jesus Christ and the completion of creation. Our new Christian year begins next Sunday with Advent, a season of anticipation of Christmas.
Today we are glad to welcome Jay, Valerie, and James Altman into membership in our congregation. We are delighted to receive them into our church family.
Today is our second Generosity Commitment Sunday . In our worship services, we will have the opportunity to consecrate our personal financial giving commitments for the coming year. You should have received a yellow Commitment Card in the mail. If you do not have it with you today, we will have them available in the worship services. We invite you to prayerfully consider what your offering to God through our church will be in the coming year, fill out the Commitment Card, and bring it to the altar during the Offering in our worship service.
Today is also an opportunity in our Committed To Christ series to commit to Jesus through hands-on service . Please prayerfully consider how you can be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ for others.
