News and Events for February 4

Congratulations Dan Perry(Jr.) on obtaining Eagle Scout rank.  Dan’s efforts, as well as those of his Scout leaders and his family, culminate in obtaining this rank.  This is an occasion for pride and joy, as well as a time for reflection.

We are seeking three volunteers to come forward to assist in the nursery on Sunday mornings.  We would love to have a rotation going so that we only have to make weekly or perhaps monthly commitments if we have more volunteers come forward.  If anyone has questions about paperwork, please contact Taylor Lee at (423) 956-2919.  The paperwork is required so that we can ensure that we are adhering to Safe Sanctuary policies.  These guidelines have been put into place in order to protect those working with children as well as protecting the children themselves.  Anyone who works with children or youth are urged to fill out this paperwork.  These children are SUCH a blessing to our congregation and we hope that you will consider making a commitment however often you are available to do so.  Thanks so much for your assistance with this.

We are grateful to you for your prayers and support for the poor of our region during 2017.  Thank you so much for your gift.

Mardi Gras means “Fat Tuesday“. It is the last-chance celebration before the beginning of Lent. Many people treat Mardi Gras a final chance to indulge in their favorite foods and activities before piously sacrificing them for Lent.

The Circle of Faith invite you to a pancake supper fundraiser on Tuesday, Feb.  13 at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
