For worshippers interested in renewing the promises they have made at their baptism, we invite you to participate today during the worship service in the Reaffirmation of the Baptismal Covenant and the Baptismal Remembrance. Baptism marks one’s acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the beginning of new life in Christ, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and one’s initiation into Christ’s Holy Church. Baptism is one of our two sacraments in The United Methodist Church, along with Communion.
Baptism is a means of God’s grace, an outward sign of God’s inner work of grace — in which we put off the old, renouncing sin and the evil powers of the world, and pledging our loyalty to Christ.
If you have not received the sacrament of Baptism and are interested in doing so, please talk with Pastor Dan to arrange a time.
Pastor Dan will be on vacation from April 2 to April 8. In case of a church need, please contact Tony Lundin, our Lay Leader.
Our regular Church Council meeting will be held on Sunday, April 15 at 4:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Council members are: Nancy Forrester (Chair), Betty Malone, Tony Lundin, Lelia Perry, Lana Butler, Jane Bellamy, Kim Lundin, Bobbie Warden, Mike Miller, Carole Miller, James Altman, Valerie Altman, Jin Lane, Priscilla Keene, Betsy Carrier, Dan Perry, Jack Hurlbert, Michael Forrester, Joan Williams, Herman Carrier, Bruce Stewart, Dan Gray.
You are invited to a reception in honor of Dr. Jonathan Feathers, First Christian Church, on Sunday, April 8 at 12:30 pm in their Fellowship Hall. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served.
