News and Events for March 17

If you are interested in becoming a member of Bluff City United Methodist Church, please contact Pastor Sean or watch for the sign up sheet in the bulletin over the next few weeks.  We are looking at offering a new member class on Sunday, April 7 in the afternoon.

Throughout the season of Lent, the Sanctuary will be open every Wednesday from 12-1 PM for personal prayer and worship.  You are free to come and go as you please.

During the Children’s moment each Sunday fo Lent, our kids will be collecting loose change to be given as our offering for Change for Children.  This is an initiative in Holston Conference every year.  These funds are available for grants that local churches can apply for to be used for new and existing children’s ministries.  Make sure to come with some pocket change to make those cans jingle!

Beans and Bluegrass, a fundraiser for Missions, will be held in the Wesley Center on Wednesday, March 20 at 6:00 PM.   Donations will be greatly appreciated.

On Sunday, March 31, there will be a Fifth Sunday Singing featuring the Harlow Experience.  A potluck dinner will be in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the worship service. Please bring your favorite dish and join us for a delicious meal.

There will be a Finance Team meeting Sunday, 3/17 at 4:00 PM in the Willing Worker’s Classroom.  Team members are:  Dan Perry (Chair), Nancy Forrester, Betty Malone, Tony Lundin, Tommy Forrester, Michael Forrester, Jack Hurlbert, Herman Carrier, Sean Glenn.

Youth activities will resume on Wednesday night, 3/20.  We would like to welcome our new youth director, Hailee Burk.

There has been some interest in having another run of church license plates made.  If you would like one, please see Pastor Sean.  We have to order 10 at a time and they are $12 each.
