News and Events for May 12

The United Methodist Men will be hosting a luncheon today (Sunday) for all our moms  (and everyone else too) as a fundraiser to purchase new tires for the church van.  We want to love on our moms and support a good cause all at the same time.  This is immediately following the  10:30 worship service.

Vacation Bible School—There will be an organizational meeting on Sunday, May 19 at 5:00 PM in the Sanctuary.  If you  have signed up to  help, please attend this meeting.

Menu for Wednesday Outreach/Fellowship meal this week is BREAKFAST—egg casserole, fruit, biscuits and gravy.

There will be a Worship Team Meeting on Sunday, May 19 at 4:00 PM in the Willing Workers Classroom.  Team Members are:  Sean Glenn, Jane Bellamy, Kim Lundin, Bruce Stewart, Elaine Good, Dan Perry, Tony Lundin, Nancy Forrester, Betsy Carrier.

BCUMC has a wonderful opportunity to partner with Meals on Wheels to deliver hot meals in the Bluff City area.  If you would like to help with this please let Nancy Forrester know today.  Delivery would begin in June and each person would need to donate about one hour per week, possibly less if folks team up ad share the schedule.

It’s singin, preachin and picnic time in Bluff City!  On Sunday, May 26th, we will be having a special outdoor worship service at the Cox House on Sells Road.  We hope you will make plans to attend and even bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the grounds afterward.  Come and enjoy a great time of worship and fellowship.

If you are going to be helping with backpacks for the Conference Missions project, they need to be in the office by June 2.

Visitors—If you are visiting with us, please fill out the attached tab, tear off  and drop in the offering plate.
