Next Sunday, April 28th, we will be blessed as the Wesley Foundation from ETSU leads us in worship. Please come and support these awesome college students.
Go ahead and mark your calendars! The United Methodist Men will be hosting a luncheon on Mother’s Day for all our moms (and everyone else too) as a fundraiser to purchase new tires for the church van. We want to love on our moms and support a good cause all at the same time. This will be May 12 immediately after worship. It’s going to be good!
If you are interested in becoming a member of Bluff City United Methodist Church, please contact Pastor Sean or watch for the sign up sheet in the bulletin over the next few weeks. We are looking at offering a new member class on Sunday, April 28 in the afternoon.
There has been some interest in having another run of church License plates made. If you would like one, please see Pastor Sean. We have to order 10 at a time and they are $12 each.
Do you have a young person who will be graduating from high school or college? Our graduates will be honored on Sunday, May 19. Please give his/her information to Bobbie Warden by Sunday, May 5.
During the Children’s moment each Sunday of Lent, our kids will be collecting loose change to be given as our offering for Change for Children. This is an initiative in Holston Conference every year. These funds are available for grants that local churches can apply for to be used for new and existing children’s ministries. Make sure to come with some pocket change to make those cans jingle!
Vacation Bible School will be held the week of June 23. If interested in helping, watch for the sign-up sheet. There will be an organizational meeting later this month.
If interested in sending your kids to Camp Bays Mountain this summer, please talk with Bethany Glenn (865-387-7335) or leave a message at the church office. Deadline to register is May 1. Scholarships are available, but we need a head count.
